What is Sodium molybdate CAS 7631-95-0?
Sodium molybdate is the molybdate of sodium. White diamond crystal. Slightly soluble in water, insoluble in acetone. Dihydrate can be obtained by crystallization from aqueous solution (alkaline solution with pH higher than 8), the latter is a white rhombohedral crystal, MoO42- ions exist as regular tetrahedrons, relative density 3.28, heated to 100℃ and lose 2 molecules of water to obtain anhydrous substance, easily soluble in water, insoluble in ethyl acetate.
