What is Dodecanedioic acid CAS 693-23-2?
Dodecanedioic acid CAS 693-23-2 is also known as Twelve alkyl acid. Mainly used in the synthesis of polymer materials, spices, drugs and so on. Among them, as a polycondensation monomer and binary amine condensation reaction to grow carbon chain nylon (also known as polyamide resin) engineering plastics, is one of the most important uses.

Application
It can be condensed with hexamethylenediamine to produce engineering plastic nylon 6-12. The diester produced with octanol, butanol and other alcohols can be used as a plasticizer for polyvinyl chloride, cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate. The diester synthesized with octanol can also be used as a high grade lubricating oil for jet engines and gas turbines, or as a base oil for low temperature greases. It can also be used as a modifier of saturated polyester, a precipitator of metal, and a raw material for fragrances and special polyurethanes.
