As an important fine chemical intermediate, dipentaerythritol CAS 126-58-9 is regarded as a medium-to-high-end product in the pentaerythritol industry. It is mainly used in the production of environmentally friendly UV-curable coatings, high-grade alkyd resins, high-grade aviation lubricants, plasticizers, polyethers, polyesters, polyurethanes, and photosensitive resin films. In terms of photosensitive coatings, diquaternary acrylates can be used as stainless steel color plates and high-grade granite spray masks, with strong adhesion, friction resistance, and excellent aging resistance. Superfine dipentaerythritol is mainly used in the production of fire retardant coatings and PVC stabilizers.

Application

1.Coatings

(1) Production of polyester resins: Dipentaerythritol reacts with polyacids to produce high-performance polyester resins, which are used to produce high-end coatings such as automotive topcoats and coil coatings, and can make the coatings have good weather resistance, corrosion resistance and gloss.

(2) Manufacturing alkyd resins: Dipentaerythritol is an important raw material for the production of alkyd resins. The alkyd resin coatings produced have good drying properties, flexibility and adhesion, and are widely used in coatings in the fields of construction and furniture.

2.Plastics industry
