Application

Field of organic synthesis

  • As a base catalyst: the DBU part has a strong alkalinity and can be used as a substitute for hydroxide to participate in a variety of organic synthesis reactions, such as the denitrification reaction of sulfonyl chloride and the dehydrogenation reaction of halogenated hydrocarbons.
  • Promote elimination reaction: can combine with acidic hydrogen atoms in the substrate, promote the elimination reaction of the substrate to produce olefin or imine compounds, commonly seen in the synthesis of olefin, heterocyclic compounds and polyhydrogen compounds.
  • Participation in benzylation: The benzyl ammonium chloride part is a commonly used alkylation reagent and can react with DBU to form benzyl compounds.
  • Formation of sulfonyl chloride reagent: DBU reacts with benzyl ammonium chloride to form sulfonyl chloride, which is often used in the sulfonylation of alcohols, phenols and amines.
  • Other reactions: It can also be used for synthesis of transition metal complexes, preparation of aldehyde-ketone compounds, carbonyl reduction reaction, chlorination reaction and other organic synthesis reactions.

Material science: can be used as a curing accelerator of epoxy resin, accelerate the curing speed of epoxy resin, improve the performance of curing products; It can also be used as a catalyst for polyurethane resin to promote the synthesis of polyurethane.

Rubber industry: mainly used as a rapid vulcanization accelerator of fluorine rubber, in bisphenol AF/ DBU-B vulcanization system, can effectively improve the vulcanization speed and the performance of vulcanization rubber, its vulcanization promotion performance is stronger than BPP (diisopropylbenzene peroxide), often used in the formula of rubber products such as oil seals.

Pharmaceutical field: It can be used as a pharmaceutical intermediate for the synthesis of some drugs or bioactive substances
