Phenylmethylene acetone obtained by vacuum distillation is colorless to light yellow shiny flake crystal, with sweet pea aroma and spicy and pungent taste, see the light color becomes dark, flammable, and easy to decompose under heat for a long time. Slightly soluble in water and petroleum ether, slightly soluble in benzene, easily soluble in ethanol, benzene, ether, chloroform and sulfuric acid.
