What is Dicalcium Silicate CAS 10034-77-2?
Dicalcium silicate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula Ca₂SiO₄. It is the second largest mineral component in Portland cement clinker (approximately 15-30%) and is known as “Belite” in cement chemistry. Its key characteristics are slow hydration reaction rate and low heat of hydration.

Application
In the field of orthopedic medicine, high-purity dicalcium silicate with specific crystal forms exhibits outstanding bioactivity and is widely used in bone repair and regeneration materials. When implanted in the human body, its surface reacts with body fluids to form a hydroxyapatite layer with a composition similar to the inorganic components of human bone, thus forming a strong chemical bond (osseous integration) with the host bone and stimulating new bone growth. Therefore, dicalcium silicate is often used to manufacture artificial bone scaffolds, bone filler particles, bone cement, and as an active coating for orthopedic implants (such as screws and joints).
Features
1. Excellent long-term hardness stability
2. Low heat of hydration and minimal heat release
3. Superior bioactivity and bone integration ability
4. Good degradability and osteogenic properties
Packaging
Usually packed in 25kg/drum,and also can be do customized package.
