Polyacrylonitrile is a polymer of acrylonitrile formed by copolymerization of acrylonitrile, methyl acrylate, econonic acid, etc. It is the raw material of nitrile (commonly known as artificial wool). Chemical formula [CH2=CH-CN] n, average molecular weight of structure is 2.5 × 104~8 × 104。 It is white powder at normal temperature, with specific gravity of 1.14~1.16. The softening point is 267 ℃ and the decomposition temperature is 230 ℃.
