What is Nickel(II) hydroxide
Nickel(II) hydroxide chemical formula Ni (OH) 2, NiO · xH2O. Green hexagonal crystal. Slightly soluble in water, easily soluble in acids and ammonia, insoluble in liquid ammonia. When heating, slowly dehydrate to 230 ℃, and most of the chemical books are nickel oxide (II), complete dehydration requires red heat. It cannot be oxidized in air or hydrogen peroxide, but it is prone to form nickel hydroxide (III) in ozone. Under alkaline conditions, it can be oxidized by chlorine and bromine, but not by iodine.
