What Is Magnesium Stearate CAS 557-04-0?
Magnesium stearate is an organic compound, white non-sandy fine powder, with a slippery feeling when in contact with the skin. Insoluble in water, ethanol or ether, it is mainly used as lubricant, anti-sticking agent and glidant. It is especially suitable for the granulation of oils and extracts, and the granules produced have good fluidity and compressibility. Used as a glidant in direct compression. It can also be used as a filter aid, clarifying agent and dripping agent, as well as a suspending agent and thickening agent for liquid preparations.

Application
1.Used as a lubricant, anti-sticking agent, and glidant. It is especially suitable for the granulation of oils and extracts, and the granules produced have good fluidity and compressibility. Used as a glidant in direct compression. It can also be used as a filter aid, clarifying agent and dripping agent, as well as a suspending agent and thickening agent for liquid preparations.
2.It can be used as a stabilizer and lubricant for polyvinyl chloride, cellulose acetate, ABS resin, etc., and it can be used in non-toxic products in combination with calcium soap and zinc soap.
3.In the food field, magnesium stearate is widely used as an anticaking agent.
