Polyester film is mainly used as electrical insulation material and film production (such as as the base material for movie films, X-ray films, photographic films, audio tapes, video tapes, computer tapes, etc.). The most common use of polyester resin is to make fibers for fabrics, fishing nets, carpets, tire cords, etc. It can also be used to produce the plasticizer dioctyl terephthalate.
