Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, with CAS number 117-81-7, is a widely used plasticizer and has excellent compatibility with most synthetic resins and rubbers used in industry. This product has good comprehensive properties, good mixing performance, high plasticizing efficiency, low volatility, good low-temperature flexibility, good water resistance, high electrical performance, and good heat resistance and weather resistance. As a main plasticizer, it is widely used in the processing of various soft PVC products, such as films, sheets, artificial leather, cable materials, and molded products.
Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate, with CAS number 117-81-7, is non-toxic and can be used in packaging materials in contact with food. However, due to its easy extraction by fats, it is not suitable for packaging materials for fatty foods.
Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate can be used in nitrocellulose paints to give the paint film high tensile strength with elastic properties.
