A kind of white orthorhombic crystal with strong hygroscopicity. When heated to 150℃, it will be decomposed into ammonium sulfite, sulfur, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and water. Very soluble in water, insoluble in alcohol and ether, slightly soluble in acetone. Unstable in air, stable in ammonia.
