1-Decanol (CAS 112-30-1), also known as n-decyl alcohol or 1-Dec, is a long-chain fatty alcohol with excellent chemical stability and high purity. Slightly soluble in water, solubility in water is 2.8% (weight). Soluble in glacial acetic acid, ethanol, benzene, petroleum ether, and very easily soluble in ether. Our product, 1-Decanol 99% (cas 112 30 1), is widely used in chemical synthesis, surfactants, cosmetics, industrial lubricants, and specialty chemical production.

Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire, heat source and direct sunlight. Storage temperature is recommended above 10℃ to prevent solidification. If solidified, warm up slowly and stir thoroughly, product quality will not be affected. Keep containers tightly closed to avoid oxidation and moisture absorption. Do not store together with strong oxidants and strong acids.

Q: How is the solubility of 1-Decanol?
A: Decyl alcohol is almost insoluble in water; it is easily soluble in ethanol, isopropanol, oils, propylene glycol, and fragrance bases. It is suitable for oil-soluble fragrance systems; the water-based formula needs to be combined with emulsifiers.

Q: How is the thermal stability of 1-Decanol?
A: Boiling point 231℃, flash point 108℃. It has good thermal stability; prolonged heating at high temperatures will cause oxidation, resulting in rancidity and wax-like odors. Storage should be protected from light.
