Polyoxypropylene(12) Dimethicone, with CAS number 68440-66-4, is commonly known as modified silicone oil by polyether and is a water-dispersible type of organic silicone. The product can achieve the following functions: defoaming, leveling, smoothness, wetting, dispersion, and anti-foaming. It reduces the number of formula additives and simplifies the formula development process. It can be used as a leveling agent for coatings, as well as a silicone defoamer and smoothener for water-based systems. The main chain of the organic silicone is resistant to high temperatures and is unlikely to break down or fail under high shear conditions such as stirring and high-pressure spraying; it is suitable for high-temperature processes in coatings, papermaking, oil fields, and textiles.
