    HALS-783 Light Stablizer 783

Light Stablizer 783 is a high-molecular-weight low-molecular-weight hindered amine (HALS) compound type light stabilizer. It belongs to the free radical capture type light stabilizing additive and is not a UV absorber. By capturing the free radicals generated during photodegradation, decomposing hydrogen peroxides, and quenching the excited state energy, it inhibits the ultraviolet aging, cracking, powdering, and color change of polymer materials. The 50% HALS 944 + 50% HALS 622 compound mixture, consisting of two groups, provides long-term weather resistance protection for both thin products and thick cross-section products.

    Transmittance: 425nm ≥ 90% 500nm ≥94%
Solubility: Insoluble in water, soluble in some organic solvents; Excellent compatibility with polyolefins
Recommended addition amount: 0.1 – 1.0%, adjusted according to the outdoor service life and membrane thickness

    ✨ Product Features

    1. Dual-component synergistic effect: HALS944 + HALS622 are combined for use in both thin products (films, flat wires) and thick-section products. A single HALS is difficult to simultaneously meet the weather resistance requirements for both thick and thin products.
    2. High molecular weight, low volatility, water resistance: Light Stabilizer 783 is not prone to volatilize during high-temperature extrusion processing; it is not easily lost through water extraction in outdoor rain and water immersion environments, providing long-term weather resistance, suitable for long-term outdoor use.
    3. Good processing thermal stability: Light Stabilizer 783 is compatible with polyolefin extrusion, blow-molding, drawing, and injection molding processes. It does not decompose easily at processing temperatures and does not produce bubbles or flaking.
    4. Low color staining, low gas fading: Light Stabilizer 783 has little interference with pigments and is compatible with most organic/inorganic pigments. The products are less likely to develop yellowing or color changes.
    5. Broad-spectrum applicability for polyolefins: Classic weathering additives for PE agricultural films, PP flat wire woven bags, geotextiles, and drip irrigation belts.
    6. Safety: Some grades can meet indirect food contact compliance and can be used in outdoor plastic parts for food packaging.

    Packaging and Storage

Standard 25kg cardboard drums lined with PE bags; mainly granular materials, with a small amount of powder type.
Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, away from heat sources, open flames, and direct sunlight.
Keep sealed to prevent moisture; absorbing moisture does not affect chemical properties, but it is prone to caking and affects the dispersion of the materials during feeding.
Stack on floor pallets, and prohibit storage together with strong oxidants, strong acids and strong bases.
Shelf life under sealed condition: 24 months; use up as soon as possible after opening, and re-seal the remaining materials.

    FAQ

Q: What is Light Stabilizer 783 composition?
A: It is synergistic blend of 50% HALS 944 and 50% HALS 622, oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizer.

    Q: What is working principle?
A: HALS captures free radicals generated by UV irradiation, decomposes hydroperoxides to stop polymer photo-oxidation aging, not UV absorber.

Q: Suitable for thin film or thick parts?
A: Both thin film & thick cross-section parts. It is universal HALS for polyolefin.

    Q: Recommended dosage?
A: 0.1 ~1.0 % based on total formulation, adjust according to outdoor service life and thickness.

    Q: Shelf life?
A: 24 months when sealed and stored under cool & dry condition.
