Application
Metanilic acid is used as a dye intermediate for the preparation of acid reactive dyes, and can also be used for the manufacture of azo dyes and sulfur dyes, such as weak acid dark blue 5R, GR acid gold G, reactive brilliant orange K-G, K-GN, KR, K-7R, etc., and can also be used for the preparation of M-aminophenol blue vanillin.
