Glycerol octycaprate, ook wel bekend als STEG, STEG is een gemengd triester van medium carbon vetzuren in glycerol en plantaardige olie. Het is een kleurloos, geurloos, lage viscositeit lipofiele waterontharder met een hoge anti-oxidant eigenschappen. In cosmetica, STEG kunt vervangen door een verscheidenheid van oliën, zoals een verzachtende agent en vet-rijke agent gebruikt, kan ook worden gebruikt als drager en verdunner toegevoegd aan werkzame preparaten of sterolen en andere airconditioning agenten.
