Dimethyl Thio-toluene Diamine (DMTDA), also known as Ethacure 300 or DMTDA Amine, is a liquid aromatic diamine curative widely used for polyurethane (PU) elastomers, polyurea coatings, and epoxy systems.
With moderate reactivity, excellent mechanical properties, and good processing flexibility, DMTDA has become one of the most popular alternatives to MOCA and other conventional aromatic diamines.

DMTDA is a new type of polyurethane elastomer curing and crosslinking agent, in which there are mainly two isomers, namely the mixture of 2,4 – and 2,6 – dimethylthiotoluene diamine (the ratio is about 77~80/17~20). Compared with the commonly used MOCA, DMTDA amine is a liquid with low viscosity at normal temperature, DMTDA amine can be used for construction operation at low temperature, and has low chemical equivalent.

Applicazione

1. Dimethyl thio-toluene diamine is a new type of liquid curing agent for polyurethane elastomer. It is widely used in polyurethane casting, coating, RIM, SPUA, polyurethane tire and adhesive for chain extension or cross-linking, and is also a curing agent for epoxy resin.

2. Come indurente, quando aggiunto al TDI e MTDI due liquidi elastomeri poliuretanici, deve essere aggiunto al tasso del 10%. Nella costruzione civile e industriale è spesso utilizzato come additivo per la prova di fuoco del rivestimento (strato superiore e pareti laterali), protezione contro la corrosione di materiali metallici (rivestimento sulla parete interna del tubo di ferro), e di altri aspetti. Il poliuretano prodotto che possono reagire con altre sostanze senza alcun trattamento è superiore al prodotto di MOCA (Mocha) indurente.

3. Utilizzato per poliuretano stampa raschietto di gomma, tubo di olio di pulizia raschietto, ecc.... per migliorare la resistenza di olio di poliuretano, e il volume di tasso di espansione è anche basso.
