In a 500ml flask equipped with a stirrer, thermometer, and reflux condenser, 150g (2.5mol) of isopropanol and 0.36g of triethylamine were added. 210g (2.5mol) of diethylene ketone was added dropwise at room temperature. The crude ester was subjected to negative pressure distillation to obtain the final product Isopropyl acetoacetate 343g, with a yield of 95.2% and a content of 99.3%.
