Toepassing

Methyl thioglycolate werd gebruikt bij de bereiding van 3-carbomethoxy-4 - oxotetrahydrothiopyran, 2 - en 4-carbomethoxy-3-oxotetrahydrothiophene. Het wordt gebruikt voor het bereiden methyl zouten van thioglycolzuur en aminoethanethiol conjugated gold nanorods.
