Gebruik
2,5-Dimethoxytetrahydrofuran is een tetrahydrofuran derivaat dat vindt toepassing in de proteomics-onderzoek en in de organische synthese. Het wordt ook gebruikt als een intermediair voor atropine sulfaat, dat is een anticholinerge drug. Verder fungeert het als een voorloper van butaandiol. Daarnaast wordt het gebruikt als een fotografische verharder en als ontsmettingsmiddel in formuleringen
