Trimethylolpropane CAS 77-99-6 (TMP) is an important fine chemical product and a chain extender commonly used in resin industry. Trimethylolpropane can react with organic acids to produce monoester or polyester, aldehyde and ketone to produce acetal and ketal, and diisocyanate to produce carbamate. Trimethylolpropane is mainly used in alkyd resin, polyurethane, unsaturated resin, polyester resin, coating and other fields. Used for synthesizing aviation lubricating oil, plasticizer, surfactant, wetting agent, explosive, printing ink, etc. Used as textile auxiliary and heat stabilizer of PVC resin.
